Two days of inspirational talks from leading women in careers across science, technology, engineering and maths took place in at the Royal Dublin Society, where iWish was host to thousands of Irish female students.

Congratulations to PhD student Lianne Jordan who was awarded Best Poster Prize at the 2018 Synchrotron Radiation and Neutrons in Art and Archaeology Conference, for her work on cellulise-SrCO3 nanoparticle trestments for the Mary Rose in collaboration with Professor Eleanor Schofield and the Mary Rose Museum. Congratulations to PhD student Beth Johnston who won a 3 minute thesis presentation prize at the recent Carnegie PhD Scholars Gathering 2018. Beth presented some of her latest results on nickel-containing cathodes for Li-ion batteries. Well done Beth!
